Middle School Boundaries Proposed to Split Glebe Students Three Ways

APS held the first of two “What We Heard” meetings last night, where they presented the community feedback on the draft blended and illustrative maps they posted in September for discussion.

If you were unable to attend the meeting, please review this presentation.  It contains two new options for boundary changes, both of which have significant impacts for the Glebe community.  Under both scenarios, our school community would feed into three middle schools: Swanson, Williamsburg, and the new Middle School at the Stratford site.

There are still opportunities for you to voice your opinion!

There is a second “What We Heard” meeting happening tonight, October 26th at 7 PM at Wakefield High School.

APS will also be gathering input on these options via their online feedback form between now and November 3rd.

Please use these opportunities to voice any thoughts or concerns you may have. After the feedback period ends, the Middle School Boundary proposals will be posted online November 8th and the Superintendent will make his recommendation to the school board on November 14th.

If you have specific questions or would like to discuss the options, please feel free to contact Cindy Scarcella (, the Glebe Ambassador to APS on these initiatives.
