101. Harry Potter & The Book Club (6th Book) with Mrs. Kuchera, Grades 4-5

It’s Harry Potter’s sixth year at Hogwarts and his first year as a member of the Slug Club (Professor Slughorn’s distinguished club). We will be reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. During this session, we will be taking a deeper look into the book where we will be able to make connections to other books in the series. The price includes the book, which students get to keep.

102. FIT 4 KIDZ, Sports Conditioning, Grades K-5

*7 sessions

Cardio & Conditioning program to help kids stay in shape during canceled sports programs due to COVID.  All levels of athletic ability encouraged to join!  This class will cover:  Fast twitch & agility drills, Core conditioning exercises, Injury preventative conditioning exercises & stretches, Independent endurance training of 1 mile – 3 mile runs, Written workouts each week to do independently.  Coached by ACE certified trainer, Sheila Cordaro & DISTRICT TRACK CLUB runner, Quamel Prince

103.  Yoga: Youthful Yogis, Grades K-5

With a playful approach to traditional yoga practice, C4 Performing Arts has designed a class for all the youthful yogis of the world. This class will teach young people fun yoga poses, breathing and meditation exercises, and will help develop increased strength and flexibility.  Students will also notice improved focus, concentration and the ability to connect their mind, body and soul to find balance and inner peace.  To culminate the hard work of our students, we will have an informal performance on the last day of class to showcase and celebrate their accomplishments and amazing talents.

201. Thinking Outside the Box, Grades 2-5

Thinking Outside the Box is a fun way to learn problem solving and creative/critical thinking.  Children will have the opportunity to learn how to think on their feet and spend time in a stimulating and creative environment while learning how to tackle challenging problems.  The class usually starts with a brain warm up question or challenge, followed by a presentation and open discussion on a topics such as brainstorming, team building, problem solving, and leadership and ends with a subject related hands on project or activity that is individual or team oriented.  Children use their imaginations to build and create all sorts of contraptions, structures, bridges, vehicles, and creatures out of all kinds of material such as pasta, marshmallows, straws, toothpicks, elastic bands, plastic cups, paper, clay, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, bubble wrap, yarn, duct tape, cardboard, etc. that will be provided in a kit.

202. Tiny Chefs: Art of Cupcakes, Grades 1-5

Join us in the “virtual” kitchen as we whip up our frostings and load up our piping bags to prepare for The Art of Cupcakes! In this online cooking class for kids your Tiny Chefs will learn how to make and decorate beautiful cupcakes!

301. Move & Make Art with Mrs. Westergren & Mrs. Lewis, Grades K-5

In this unique afterschool art experience, we will get MOVING and MAKING!  We will move like animals, move to relax, move to build muscles…then create art from the ideas, memories and sensations that come to us as we move.

Each student will receive a special box of materials prior to the start of class.

302. Slam Poetry, Grades 2-5

The performance art of spoken word is both poetic and powerful! At C4 Performing Arts, we believe now more than ever, that the voices of our youth must be heard.  In this class we give young people a set of literary tools to help guide them in the journey to find their artistic voice. Relying heavily on rhythm, rhyme, improvisation, intonation, inflection, performance quality and word play, this oral art form provides the perfect canvas on which our students will begin to create their next masterpiece!  To culminate the hard work of our students, we will have an informal performance for friends and family on the last day of class to showcase and celebrate their accomplishments and amazing talents.  Each student will receive a certificate of completion signed by their instructor and the Director of C4 Performing Arts and a special C4 pen and writing journal.

303.  Dance Around The World, Grades K-5

Get your Dance Passport stamped by exploring dance styles from more than 10 different countries in this multicultural dance curriculum offered by C4 Performing Arts.  This class helps young people build knowledge, appreciation and understanding of dance styles from across the globe! Together, we will take a fantastic voyage and dance our way around the world, developing a sense of pride in our unique identities while also learning to appreciate the beautiful expressions of dance from various countries. Join us as we utilize the universal language of the arts to become citizens of the world! To culminate the hard work of our students, we will have an informal performance for friends and family on the last day of class to showcase and celebrate their accomplishments and amazing talents.  Each student will receive a certificate of completion signed by their instructor and the Director of C4 Performing Arts.

401. Beginner Karate, New students to Yellow Belts, Grades K-5

*7 sessions

Thursdays – Beginner – New students – yellow belt – This popular class is a disciplined introduction to the sport.  Your child will learn the beautiful art of karate while gaining safety & defensive skills in a respectful environment.  The class will also emphasize the basic karate principles of focus, patience, and self-discipline.  Returning students will continue to work toward new belts while first-time students will be able to start the belt program.

402. Piano Keys 4 Kids, Grades 1-5

This is a group piano class that studies hands-on piano and music theory transformed for the virtual environment. In this class, your child will work closely with the teacher to follow a carefully planned sequence that guarantees FUN and success in a playful group atmosphere! The instructor will teach how to count rhythm, identify notes, and play common melodies on a rollup piano.  Once a student is ready to advance, Book 2 and 3 will be offered. Students will be introduced to notes on the staff and will learn how to play songs in C position, Middle C and G Position. This book is included and a new roll up keyboard is added on the tuition for each student to keep.

Let C4 Performing Arts help lay the foundation for your knowledge and exposure to acting! We create a supportive atmosphere where our students have fun by using theatre games to help stretch their imaginations and let their creative spirits SOAR!
